Content
A visit to the petting zoo is an unforgettable experience for any child. There are no high fences here, and nothing to block the view of a two-year-old. On the contrary, at petting zoos children are able to come into direct contact with animals, possibly for the first time. Not everyone is ready to go near the animals right away, or even to touch them. But after a little while, almost every child musters the courage to approach the animals and pet or feed them - and the more they know about what's waiting for them, the sooner this happens.
This junior WWW book gives children the chance to get close to the animals, to experience them calmly and to become better acquainted with them: what they're called, what they like and what special characteristics they have. Domestic and pot-bellied pigs, sheep, goats, ponies and donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and guinea pigs romp across this book's pages. Young readers will also find out what they should keep in mind while at the petting zoo.
