The KMC DLC series of 2nd generation 12-speed chains represents a new standard designed with all market developments in mind. The X(cross riveting) technology guarantees minimum weight and delivers the lightest chains in its class.
The main advantage of the DLC (Diamond Like Coating) surface treatment is the significant reduction of friction. In addition, the hardness of this finish is much higher than most other finishes. As a result, the chain's long-term functionality is significantly extended, along with its optical stability. The DLC finish promises unsurpassed durability on all DLC 12, DLC 11 and DLC 10 chains.
New rivet manufacturing technology increasing overall chain endurance and meeting load limits for use on electric bikes.
In line with these new requirements, we have consistently revised our 12-speed segment and made the X12, e12 and DLC12 compatible with all shifting systems from SRAM, Shimano, Campagnolo and other manufacturers.
