Multipatchcord Extralink 24F LC/APC – LC/APC SM 18M cascade 90 cm is a specific type of fiber optic patch cord built on a multi-fiber optic cable. With a UV-resistant coating, it can be used both indoors and outdoors. Each end of the cable features connectors, and their number corresponds to the number of fibers contained in the cable. The types and kinds of connectors are selected based on the specific needs of the particular installation.
To facilitate the installation of the multipatchcord, whether through wall penetrations or through patch panel cable entries, two types of breakout can be performed – cascading or straight. In the cascading breakout, each connector is made on a cable of different lengths, allowing for flexible adaptation to a specific configuration.
The multipatchcord significantly simplifies and accelerates the connection of points. It works perfectly for connecting two patch cables located in different racks, for example, in adjacent rooms.
