The PoE+ switch is an essential active networking device in any Ethernet infrastructure using power transmission through the structural cabling. RSGE-24P-2GE-2S-360 is dedicated to all kinds of installations: home, business, low-voltage, surveillance, IP, VoIP, cable TV networks, and in a particular product can be used in alarm, fire, or access control system.
Apart from the switch's primary function, i.e., supporting Ethernet frame transfer between ports, the device also provides a power supply for each appliance in PoE/PoE+ standard - 802.3af and at. This means that the switch can supply the devices with a total of up to 360W. All of this is combined with data transmission at the same time.
As a result, such a solution saves resources, space, and time to install a separate electrical and network infrastructure. This is especially important if the network is dispersed and its end-devices do not have direct access to the power source, in particular, when they are mounted outside.
